Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Full Time Security Officer in a healthcare setting. You will deliver customer service to patients, visitors and staff while maintaining safety and order on site.

Responsibilities include patrolling facilities, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and documenting activities for supervisors and responders. A high school diploma and background check are required.

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM
• Tue: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM
• Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and maintain a professional presence in patient-care and public areas.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately; communicate relevant information to supervisors, facility personnel, and/or emergency responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
