Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company in North America, is offering a part-time position in Rhode Island. The role focuses on providing high-quality security services within a healthcare setting, including patient, visitor, and staff support.

You will perform patrols, manage access control, and respond to incidents while maintaining calm, professional communication and detailed reporting to supervision. Evening shifts are required with a $20.60 hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per federal, state and local laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner and assist with response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Assist with access control procedures, visitor management, and directions to support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate incidents and daily activities to Allied Universal supervision.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Assist with access control procedures, visitor management, and directions to support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
