Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for an armed security officer at a healthcare site in Boston, MA. The role is full-time, pay $26.50 per hour, with a schedule including afternoons and some weekends.

You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, and enforce site policies while providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. Qualifications include a concealed carry permit, high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or clients while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site personnel and first responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site policies, and Allied Universal procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols accurately and promptly using required reporting tools and processes.

• Wed: 01:00 PM - 07:30 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM
• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
