Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer at a state department site in Meriden, CT. You will provide customer service to visitors and staff, monitor access points, perform patrols, and respond to incidents following post instructions.

This role offers a part-time schedule (Mon–Fri 3:00 PM–8:00 PM) and a pay rate of $23.45 per hour, with training and shift-claiming opportunities through our platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures and appropriate emergency responses.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify site contacts and emergency services as required by post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe individuals entering and leaving the location, following visitor-management procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as required by post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe individuals entering and leaving the location, following visitor-management and access-control procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
