Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in East Hartford, CT. You will perform patrols, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service while upholding site security standards.

This role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance and a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates should be 18+ for unarmed work, with a drug screen and background check as part of employment screening. Pay is $22.36 per hour with evening hours on weekends.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and access control experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Background check and drug screen required by law and policy.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout facilities and parking areas.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials for authorized personnel and deliveries.
• Document patrol activities and incidents and communicate findings to leadership and site contacts.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
