Allied Universal in Boston, MA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Verification. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution, perform routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible presence.

The role requires at least two years of security experience; CPR is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required; background checks and drug screening apply.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and help maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
