Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed) for a full-time overnight shift at Irvine, CA. You will patrol shopping center areas, deter incidents, assist with access control, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, parking facilities, storefront perimeters, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions or policy violations and report observations through site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly, professionally and with problem-solving approach, requesting additional support when needed.
• Assist with access control, visitor assistance, directional support, and documentation of incidents and daily activities.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Professional at a premier retail and mall location, you will drive patrol routes, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate with visitors and tenants, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Full Time / Overnight Shift

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, storefront perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and promptly report observations through established site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, requesting additional support when needed.
• Assist with access control, visitor assistance, directional support, and documentation of incidents and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
