Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Driving at a retail location in Irvine, CA. You will monitor and protect tenants, shoppers, and visitors through routine patrols, driving posts, and clear customer communication to deter incidents.

You’ll join a team that values agility, reliability, care and integrity, with flexible shifts via the Claim a Shift platform, and opportunities to grow within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with management and/or first responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support access control, observe policy compliance, and provide directions or assistance to the public.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, and communicate observations, hazards, and maintenance-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
