Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Newport Beach, CA. You will provide customers service, conduct vehicle and foot patrols, and deter security issues at a premier retail center.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule and a pay rate of $22.00 per hour, with opportunities to grow within a supportive, team-focused culture. Responsibilities include monitoring access points, reporting incidents, and maintaining professional communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols across common areas, parking areas, storefront perimeters and exterior grounds.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior or damage to management.
• Maintain daily activity and incident reports and communicate with management and authorities as needed.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Shopping Center Patrol Driverin Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a premier retail center, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and employees with exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, storefront perimeters, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the property, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate professionally with site management, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred qualification: ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Preferred qualification: possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license.
• Preferred qualification: pepper spray certification.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
