Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Experience in Boston, MA to provide reliable security support with flexible, anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Pay rate is $22.39 per hour, with a schedule including DayTime Fri 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Sat 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM, Sun 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM.

Minimum six months security experience and high school diploma required; background check and drug screen

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the site while reporting unusual conditions.
• Deter theft and unauthorized access through presence and timely reporting of observations.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow site procedures.
• Document incidents and communicate information to site leadership and management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Experience in Boston, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:DayTimeFri11:00 AM - 07:00 PMSat11:00 AM - 07:00 PMSun12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Help to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior through visible presence, professional interaction, and timely reporting of observations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
