Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Interior Patrol in Westfield, MA. This role offers reliable, flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and optional additional shifts to boost earnings.

You will provide customer service, conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents calmly, and complete accurate logs and reports. This part-time position pays $17.50 per hour, with shifts scheduled daytime and evenings.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and hazards per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Interior Patrol in Westfield, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeTue05:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun12:00 PM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
