Allied Universal in Boston, MA is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed. This role offers fixed anchor shifts at a designated site with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform to boost earnings.

You will deliver customer service, handle incidents calmly, patrol interior and exterior areas, monitor access points, and document activities for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity per site procedures.
• Document incidents and patrol activity and escalate to leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Services in Boston, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
