Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Premises Patrol in Boston, MA. This role offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and document activities.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazards, and critical situations and notify appropriate contacts and emergency services.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Premises Patrol in Boston, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, transit-related facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures; direct visitors and vendors to appropriate locations as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazards, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public emergency services when required.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs, documenting observations and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
