Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Hazard Detection in Mattapan, MA. You will provide unarmed security, perform patrols, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors while maintaining a visible presence.

You’ll work a fixed schedule (Tue 3:00 PM–10:30 PM, Sat 8:30 AM–3:00 PM, Sun 8:30 AM–3:00 PM), earn $20.10 per hour, and have access to Allied Universal’s training, tools, and benefits program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and other policy violations.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.li>
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
