Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public areas, staff spaces, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Assist with maintaining orderly access to the location by observing visitor activity and communicating respectfully with patrons and staff.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Experienced Patrol in Boston, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.20 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat09:00 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public areas, staff spaces, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Assist with maintaining orderly access to the location by observing visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions, and communicating respectfully with patrons and staff.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
