Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Westfield, MA. This role offers flexible part-time hours with a fixed anchor shift and optional buy-up shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour, with a schedule on Wed/Thu/Fri 5:00 PM–10:00 PM, and a path to full-time work through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. You will protect clients and facilities while maintaining calm, professional conduct.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and communicate observations, incidents, and relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Westfield, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 05:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 05:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 05:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
