Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol to safeguard clients across government and other facilities. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide courteous customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and individuals receiving services by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with government facility procedures, documenting incidents and maintaining accurate daily activity reports.
• Support a respectful and professional environment by communicating clearly with diverse populations and following established de-escalation and reporting protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
