Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol) in Washington, DC. You will monitor and patrol hotel public areas, help guests and staff, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents. Pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Minimum 1 year security experience, HS diploma, background check, and drug screening are required; a guard card/license is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel public areas, guest floors, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hotel personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management practices in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, timely reports documenting incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

What You'll Do:
