Allied Universal in Washington, DC is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Patrol Field Observation. As an unarmed patrol officer at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and visitors.

The schedule is part-time with daytime shifts, pay rate $21.00 per hour, and requires at least 1 year security experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hotel areas, floors, parking, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner.

• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hotel public areas, guest floors, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate hotel personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Maintain detailed and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
