Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and staff. You will monitor premises, respond to incidents, document logs, and support risk management practices.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 2+ years in security, strong judgment, and clear written and verbal communication. A valid driver’s license may be required. Sunrise offers medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, PTO and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 18+
• 2+ years related experience preferred
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Valid driver’s license (if required)

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas
• Assist with emergency response procedures
• Escort residents and team members after hours
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance
• Secure and unlock areas per policy
