Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living, LLC is seeking a Security Officer to help keep residents safe and the community secure. You will patrol buildings, grounds, and parking areas, inspect access points, respond to alarms, and document incidents to support risk management and emergency procedures.

The role emphasizes clear communication, timely incident reporting, and guardianship of residents and staff. A HS Diploma or GED is required, with 2+ years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 18+
• 2+ years related experience preferred
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Valid driver’s license (if required)

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas
• Escort residents and team members after hours
• Assist with emergency response procedures
• Secure and unlock areas per policy
