Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Security Officer to patrol facilities, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and document incidents to maintain a safe community for residents and staff.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED, strong communication, and basic computer skills. A valid driver’s license may be required, with on-site duties and potential dispatch of after-hours coverage.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 18+
• 2+ years related experience preferred
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Valid driver''s license (if required)

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas
• Assist with emergency response procedures
• Escort residents and team members after hours
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance
• Secure and unlock areas per policy
