Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, guests, and team members. You will patrol buildings, inspect access points, respond to alarms, and document incidents to support risk management.

The role requires HS Diploma or GED, 18+, and 2+ years of related experience. Candidates should demonstrate good judgment, multi-tasking, clear communication, and basic computer skills. Valid driver's license if required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 18+
• 2+ years related experience preferred
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Valid driver's license (if required)

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and access points
• Respond to alarms, security calls, and on-site emergencies
• Investigate and document incidents or suspicious activity
• Complete daily Security Logs and incident reports
• Monitor fire safety, hazards, and unsecured areas
• Assist with emergency response procedures
• Escort residents and team members after hours
• Support OSHA and infection control compliance
• Secure and unlock areas per policy
