Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol High-Rise Building in Santa Ana, CA. You will perform unarmed security duties, patrol high-rise environments, and support access control with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Role includes shift-based daytime/evening hours and opportunities to grow within a leading national security provider. Must meet minimum requirements and pass background/drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of property, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, lobbies, and visitor management, report issues.

As a Security Officer Patrol High-Rise Building in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related concerns, and support access awareness throughout assigned areas. This role blends people-first customer service, clear communication, and dependable teamwork in a dynamic environment that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor management, and report maintenance or property concerns.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
