Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for High Rise Security in Los Angeles, CA. You will monitor and protect tenants and property, performing access control and emergency response as part of a dedicated team.

You will work in a fast-paced commercial real estate environment, delivering excellent customer service, upholding safety policies, and representing Allied Universal with integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Criminal history considered per applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report relevant information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures, and help maintain awareness of activity throughout the property.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and site personnel, providing directions, assistance, and timely escalation of security-related concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer High Rise Securityin Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working collaboratively, putting people first, and acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
