Allied Universal in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Security Officer - Patrol Driver for afternoon shifts. The role involves unarmed patrols, customer service to employees and visitors, and secure access control at a manufacturing/industrial site.

The position is full-time with a daily schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM on multiple weekend days. A valid driver’s license is required; background checks and a drug screen may be conducted as part of employment.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Afternoons in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, administrative spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
