Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer - Patrol Driving - Overnights in Waterloo, IA. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and dependable, service‑oriented individuals to protect a manufacturing and industrial site.

You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor entry points, respond to incidents, and provide courteous customer service. You’ll log activities and work with site leadership to deter unsafe conditions during overnight hours.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, adjacent areas, parking, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify access credentials, and maintain logs and reports.
• Communicate hazards and maintenance concerns to site contacts and leadership.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site‑specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout facility buildings, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access credentials, and maintain accurate logs and reports of security‑related activities.
• Communicate observed hazards, unusual conditions, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
