Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

A valid driver's license is required and schedule includes late afternoon to early morning shifts. This full-time role pays $20.00 per hour and follows a Tue/Wed/Fri/Sun 3:00 PM–1:00 AM schedule, with training and career growth opportunities within Allied

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents and patrols.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking locations, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
