Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver Customer Service in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to concerns with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and care.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking facilities, and surrounding perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns during patrols, document observations, and communicate relevant information to appropriate campus personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, directions, and campus events while maintaining a professional and customer-focused presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
