Job summary

Allied Universal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Security Officer Driver Patrol Service Support. In this full-time role you\'ll provide campus security, drive between sites, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

You will handle routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and communicate clearly with students, staff, and partners. A valid driver\'s license is required, and a background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus partners.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Service Support in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Security Officer at a leading educational location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
