Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in Chicago, IL. You will monitor campus areas, deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a professional presence.

Responsibilities include patrols, access control, incident response, and reporting observations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, potential hazards, and security-related concerns; document observations and promptly report incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, escorts, and general information while maintaining a professional presence in a higher education environment.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

• Tue: 04:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Wed: 04:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Fri: 04:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 02:00 AM

What You'll Do
