Job summary

Allied Universal, in Mattapan, MA, is seeking a diligent Security Officer Patrol Compliance (unarmed) to protect customers and assets at a retail location. You will patrol, control access, monitor for unusual activity, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

This full-time role offers a pay rate of $21.75 per hour, a daytime to evening schedule, and opportunities for training, growth, and benefits. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and pass background and drug-screen

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to store management or emergency personnel.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner following site procedures.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns to appropriate store management and/or emergency personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
