Job summary

Allied Universal® in Boston, MA is seeking a Security Officer Tablet Assisted Patrol. You will protect a premier retail location through unarmed patrols, provide excellent customer service, and assist visitors and staff.

A strong presence and proactive communication help deter incidents while you follow site procedures and use tablet tools. Daytime schedule with consistent shifts; prior security/customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Tablet Assisted Patrol in BOSTON, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate professionally, support a welcoming environment, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, fitting room areas, stockroom corridors, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and other policy violations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and presence while assisting with traffic flow, visitor direction, and communication with store personnel and responding agencies as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
