Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm professionalism, document observations, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution setting.
• Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and location post orders, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, lobby areas, offices, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting concerns through required channels.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor and/or vendor screening as required, maintaining accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
