Allied Universal in Needham Heights, MA is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to protect clients at a commercial real estate location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, report incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism while maintaining a welcoming environment.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and the public to deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and property concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and the public while supporting a welcoming environment and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
