Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Support in Boston, MA. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and support access control at a financial institution location, delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication to maintain a welcoming, secure environment.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $22.05 per hour and a daytime/evening shift schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols throughout the building, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site procedures; maintain orderly environment.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and document observations per site policies.
• Complete required activity reports and shift communications promptly.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the building, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site policies.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
