Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol for the Afternoon Shift in Austin, TX. You will protect government locations, patrol areas, monitor access, and provide professional security and customer service.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, high school diploma, and a willingness to complete background checks and drug screening. Shift schedule includes daytime and weekend coverage with a $22.00 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Background checks and drug screening are standard; driving positions require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location by following security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and inquiries calmly, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns per procedures.
• Complete incident reports and daily logs maintaining a professional presence.

As a Security Officer Patrol Afternoon Shiftin Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will engage professionally with visitors and staff, communicate observations, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to established procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
