Job summary

All Allied Universal is seeking an entry-level to experienced Security Officer Patrol Energy Center in Austin, TX. You will monitor government facilities, deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service while documenting observations and maintaining a professional presence.

The role requires 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screens.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of government buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, activity logs, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Energy Center in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff while using technology to document observations and support daily operations. What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
