Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks an Overnight Patrol Security Officer in Austin, TX. The role focuses on unarmed government-site patrols, access control, and customer service, with a strong emphasis on safety and professional conduct.

You will monitor premises, respond to incidents, and complete shift documentation, contributing to a reliable and protective environment for clients and the public.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and direct individuals per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify staff.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports in accordance with policy and site requirements.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
