Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Systems in Dexter, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors, patients, and staff with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to a caring, reliable team culture. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare technology location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site procedures, including verifying authorization and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
