Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist in Cleveland, OH. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor healthcare facilities, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff while upholding safety policies and procedures.

You will conduct regular patrols, assist with access control, document incidents, and communicate with site leadership and responders.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization when required, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate locations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.

What You'll Do
