Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Oxford, MS. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents at a chemical and petrochemical location.

You’ll learn our claims a shift platform and support site operations with teamwork and integrity. Requires staying 18+ (21+ for armed), a high school diploma, background check, and drug screen where permitted.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and contractor entry, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
