Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Reporting in Portland, TX to serve clients across multiple industries. You will maintain a visible presence, deliver high-quality customer service, and follow site procedures to ensure safety and security.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor areas, perform routine patrols, verify access, and document incidents.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred
• 18+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required by law
• Drug screen required by law
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities to deter security incidents and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle activity records, and report concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, problem-solving manner per site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility buildings, grounds, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, maintain visitor and vehicle activity records, and report access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations and request additional assistance as directed by site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation while following applicable site rules and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
