Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Portland, TX. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service at a chemical/petrochemical location, working with a flexible schedule.

The role requires a Guard Card preferred, HS diploma or equivalent, and acceptable background/drug screening per regulations. This position is on-site with day/night shift hours and potential for additional shifts through our platform.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and enforce site procedures at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and hazardous situations calmly and follow site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report security concerns, equipment issues, and hazards to site personnel.
• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries per site rules.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility areas, access points, perimeter locations, and surrounding grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report security-related concerns, unusual conditions, equipment issues, and potential hazards to appropriate site personnel.
• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements, maintaining accurate activity logs and reports.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
