Allied Universal® is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Ottawa, IL. The role involves driving and conducting unarmed patrols, delivering customer service, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

The position offers a part-time schedule with Saturday and Sunday shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and a pay rate of $15.50 per hour. Applicants will undergo background checks and drug screening as required by policy and law.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, access-control concerns, equipment issues, and potential hazards to site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and visitor or contractor activity per site requirements.

As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and innovation.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
