Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Memphis, TN to safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will patrol, deter security incidents, and maintain a visible, welcoming presence while delivering excellent customer service and following site procedures.

The role requires 2+ years of security experience, a HS diploma, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor credentials per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and document observations.
• Observe facility operations and report potential hazards to appropriate personnel.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting observations and completing required documentation.
• Observe facility operations for unusual conditions, potential hazards, and security-related concerns, and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
