Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Shelbyville, IN. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial site.

The role is full-time with a consistent evening schedule and a starting pay of $14 per hour. Qualified candidates will meet minimum requirements and pass background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and vehicle entry activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
