Job summary

Allied Universal, Memphis, TN, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide dependable, flexible security coverage at a designated site. The role offers anchor shifts with six-month commitments and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings while gaining experience across sites.

The position features a fixed six-month base schedule, with the option to earn more by taking additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including production areas, warehouses, loading docks, offices, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verifying authorized entry and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Observe and report potential hazards, facility concerns, and security-related policy violations while maintaining professional communication with employees, contractors, and visitors.

As a Security Officer Part Time Experienced Patrol in Memphis, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
