Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer in Chesapeake, VA to patrol interior and exterior areas, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site requirements and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and follow procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation for leadership.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Coordination in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting appropriate resources as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
