Job summary

Allied Universal in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Security Officer Patrol to safeguard clients in technology-focused locations. You will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service while following site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location while following site security procedures.

• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and other locations to identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, documenting observations and escalating as needed.
• Prepare clear incident reports and maintain logs per site requirements.

• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
